ABOUT US
Mizoram Startup Mission (MSUM) is a dynamic and forward-looking initiative aimed at fostering a thriving ecosystem for startups and innovation in Mizoram. Our mission is to empower and support local entrepreneurs, drive economic growth, and position Mizoram as a hub for innovative ideas and technologies.
OBJECTIVES
- Encourage a culture of entrepreneurship by inspiring and enabling aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their innovative ideas into successful startups.
- Build and nurture a vibrant startup ecosystem recognized by the Government.
- Support startups throughout their developmental phases of formation, validation, growth, expansion and maturity, with due emphasis on women-led startups, student-entrepreneurs and startups that promote circular economy.
- Develop entrepreneurship education programmes, workshops, and training to equip startups with necessary skills and knowledge, and facilitate entrepreneurship education in school curriculum.
- Provide startups and entrepreneurs with the necessary resources, mentorship, handholding and access to networks to accelerate their growth and scale their businesses.
- Create institutional support for entrepreneurs and startups through setting up of entrepreneurship development centres and cells, incubation centres, and facilitate regulatory frameworks for single window clearance, ease of doing business, startup subsidies, public procurement norms etc.
- Facilitate access to funding opportunities, including grants, equity investments, and low-interest loans, to support startup development and expansion in partnership with Governments and financial institutions.
- Create a robust network of stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, industry experts, inventors, mentors, and other partners to facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing.
